It can be made to be either creamy or chunky, depending on individual choice, personally, I preferred it to be creamy.

This classic Mexican appetiser is made by adding lime juice, salt, onion, chili peppers, fresh cilantro or parsley to mashed ripe avocados. It is an ‘all-rounder’ dish regularly served on tacos, with tortilla chips, or as a condiment for burgers and sandwiches and usually serve at office end-of-year parties, conferences, and other ceremonies etc.

Method
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some texture if desired.

- Add the diced red onion, lime juice, jalapeño, cilantro, and garlic to the bowl.
- Season with salt, cumin (if using), and black pepper.
- Gently stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning or lime juice as needed. Serve immediately.
